Sod Varieties

We purchase sod from a variety of Top-Quality Certified Turf Farms from around the Southeast. We constantly monitor the quality of sod to ensure we only deliver the best quality available. Sod is sold in 504 square foot pallets or 42" Magnum Rolls. We stock some sod varieties applicable to time of year, and all sod is available on order for pick-up or delivery. We can also accommodate purchases by the piece or square footage needed for most varieties. Sod is cut fresh from the farms daily per order. Grass Piece Size: 16" X 24" - 188 pcs. per pallet - 94 pcs. per 1/2 pallet.

419 Tif Bermuda

Full Sun Grass (8 hrs. minimum required) where a close-mowed, dense turf is desired
Medium green color with fine leaf texture
Sensitive to cool temperatures and will go dormant when soil temperatures fall below 50 degrees F
Performs best in well-drained soil and warm, humid climate conditions
Deep and extensive root system via rhizomes and stolons

Tif Sport Bermuda

Full Sun, fine-bladed, medium to dark green hybrid bermudagrass
Due to high density and extremely high tensile strength enables this turf to recover quickly from injury and to tolerate low mowing heights
Considered high maintenance and much more aggressive than 419 Tif, and thus not typically used in residential installation
Primarily used for athletic fields

TifGrand Bermuda

Geo Zoysia

A fine-bladed zoysia grass with a deep green color
Geo Zoysia is some of the most beautiful turfgrass you will find in landscape
Has good to excellent shade tolerance compared to other zoysia and is extremely wear tolerant

Centipede

Creeping Turfgrass with above ground runners and stolons that requires less mowing due to its slow growth habit
Has been used as a minimal maintenance turf in this region for years - grown extensively in the southern half of GA
Natural light green color that turns brown or dormant in winter
Slow growing grass that needs little fertilizer and manages drought well
Well suited for low PH soils

Tall Fescue

Dark Green in color and provides a year round green landscape
Well adapted to shade conditions - requires only 2-3 hours sun
Medium to coarse leaf texture
Cool season grass so requires more irrigation than warm season grasse

Meyer Zoysia

Has long been the standard zoysia grass
Medium leaf texture with deep green color
Grows in Full Sun, but tolerates medium shade (5-6 hours minimum sun required)
